Doug Hall
Age: 41
I am a Policy Fellow with Connecticut Voices for Children, (www.ctkidslink.org), a state-wide, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of CT children through research, public policy analysis, and advocacy. A significant proportion of my time is spent doing research and data analysis on issues and policies that address the continued prevalence of poverty in Connecticut.
I spend as much time as possible with my children, Nicholas (18) and Rachel (15). While we enjoy lots of activities together, including cycling, tennis and swimming, mostly we just enjoy relaxing and enjoying each other's company together.
My hobbies/interests are: cycling (duh! ;)), politics, photography, reading, making goooood bread. I live in Manchester, CT.
Why is Doug participating?
I feel privileged to be able to participate in the Brake the Cycle of Poverty ride with such an amazing group of individuals who have coalesced to form what I think of as our "BTC Family. "Together we amuse each other, inspire each other, support each other, and challenge each other to be the best we can be:physically with our cycling mission;spiritually as wedo this important piece of "God's work" together; and personally as we grow through this collective experience. The fact that this effort reinforces my professional work, addressing poverty in Connecticut is also very important to me. AND, we get to RIDE together! (the icing on the BTC cake).
